I'm getting closer to finally pulling the trigger so to speak on purchasing an M1A. My question is the Fulton Armory Service Rifle worth the extra expense as compared to the Springfield Armory Standard (walnut) M1A? Is there really that much difference between the two rifles? Any suggestions and feedback on the two rifles would be much appreciated.

There are several ways to go but IMHO the SA loaded model is the best bang for the buck for most shooters. If you plan on serious comp shooting then start with a better package.

Fulton Armory will build you an outstanding rifle. And you will pay for it.

You can also get an outstanding rifle from SA if you pay for a Super Match, or National Match.

And you will pay for it.

The extra work that a gunsmith puts into tuning and tightening a M1a rifle is worth worth the money.

I don't own a M1a that does not have a tuned trigger, tight sights, been bedded, gas cylinder unitized, flash suppessor reamed.
