Hey everyone! I'm looking to get this rifle from Samco:

https://www.samcoglobal.com/1-M24-47.html

I want the M27/47 with the bent bolt handle. I will be picking special select condition. I have one major question though... is the bent bolt handle original to these rifles, or was it done by the importer?

I originally was in the market for a K98K rifle but all the ones I've seen have been beat up or really expensive. This seems like pretty much the same thing only cheaper, is this rifle about the same as a K98K?

Thanks for answering my questions guys! :D

M24 rifles have straight bolts, except for M24 carbines, which are rare. M24/47 rifles often were upgraded with M48 bolts, which are bent. As to your question, it's not likely that the importer bent the bolt.

Check out this... A M24/47 with a bent bolt that looks nothing like an M48 bolt. I believe someone bent it. Did a good job though. I picked it up for $200 before I knew much about em.

Thanks gang, after doing some further research, I learned about the M48 Yugo Mauser.

I want one of those now instead! Anybody have a source for one in good, clean shape? The ones I've seen on Gun Broker have all been drug through the mud and beat up. On wikipedia it says typically M48 mausers can be found in good shape, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Perhaps the article is outdated.

Any suggestions guys?
