Im with you Bart,

I am not one to doubt another vet at the drop of hat, let alone call shenanigans on someones else's kid on a whim, I am not in his unit or his situation, but this story does seem off to me. As a fellow veteran of the war in Afghanistan, OEF X-XI, Kandahar Province, no Taliban or insurgent, ever presented himself easily as a target and just stood there for me to shoot at. Let alone to show disdain for 5.56. Which BTW how do you know it was for 5.56? He could have been stoned out of his gord (highly likely) and besides AK's loss some effective stopping power at 400 meters, didnt stop them from blasting at us from further than that.

My real doubt on this comes from the fact that M-4s are not the only the weapons in squads, sections and platoons. The tali's COULD laugh all they want at M-4s, until are designated marksmen with the M-14 EBRs or M-110s or for that fact M-240 Bravos cut them down easily at 400 meters, better yet why not just lob some HEDP 40 mike mike on him with my M320? or our how about the FISTERs could pummel them with steel rain from 120s, 81s, or 155s? or better yet let them call in Apaches and Kiowas, maybe even an A-10 gun run for massive show of force? and yes all of this capability is on the squad or section (SCOUTS OUT) level in spades.

This new 5.56 round will work, and if it doesnt we will find a way to work with it.
