Hi, I been seeing at gun shows that machine guns are 6,000-32,000$ what makes them worth so much? What parts make the gun worth so much? Do they not make machine guns any more? and what left is the last of them and that is why they are worth so much? I saw a AK-47 and M16 for around 12,000(ak-47) -15,000(m16) What more is added inside to make it worth so much I do not get that.

I can not find a NEW machine gun only used. Then some guns say with full auto potenital, You would have to get (class III) requirements but would that cost $1,000's !?

Maybe because they're inaccessible to most civilians and therefore fetch a higher price? Law of supply and demand?

That's why they are expensive. No new ones have been made since 1986. The government banned their manufacture. Limited supply = increased price.

Oro answerd my question! "The government banned their manufacture."

Thanks.

Do you think the goverment will ever change that? machine guns are old and high priced... Still Class III

Well, thats the simple bit, technically it's more indepth, but, yea, that's the important part unless you intend on becoming a manufacturer of them, which, isn't worth it and most likely wont work out at all unless you really DO intend to manufacture them for sale to LE/Gov.

Technically the government banned the sale of new full auto's not registered prior to 1986 to civilians. They still manufacture them but there is not legal process for a civilian to register and purchase one.

Ah so if you did not register before 1986 we can not own a new one. But we can still buy them if their prior to 1986? UZI made before 1985?

Someone had to have it on the books, taxes paid and all that, before May of 86. If you find a 1985 Uzi that has a tax stamp issued it can be transferred to you.

If it was never registered and it's been sitting in a closet for example, you can't do anything with it.

If that makes sense the way I am describing it.
