Quit that jap remark you ignorant. You're truck is one unique, statistics on Consumer Reports say otherwise. You got lucky.

Can we have that repeated in Engrish please?

Yeah OK. That's why Ford has a mass of recalls since like 98' come on dude don't take it personal and Budweiser and Miller taste the same going down as they do coming out.

I don't pay much attention to where its made. Most of my toys are US made, but I got some Euro, Commie, and Latin American toys mixed in there.

Handguns:

Glock 26 and 34 (Austria with some US parts)
Beretta 92fs (Mine is a US one)
Springfield XD 45 (Croatia)
S&W 686 (US)
Taurus 357 mag (Brazil )

Rifles:

Bushmaster AR15 (US)
RRA frankenstein AR15 (US for all the parts I believe)
Armory AK-47 (some Bulgarian parts, some US parts)
Savage 17hmr and 22lr (US i think, but not sure at all)
Ruger 10-22 (US)
Winchester 30-30 (30 year old gun, fairly sure its US)
Puma/ Rossi 357 carbine (Brazil I think)
Mosin Nagant (1951, Back in the USSR :neener: )

Shotguns:

Remington 870 express (pretty sure this is US)
Beretta Extrema2 (Italy)

Damn, I do own a lot of guns. Hard to believe I bought my first one (the 10-22) 25 months ago.

USA?

Never really gave it a lot of thought.

It seems, however, that most of my hardware was made in USA.

My exceptions are the XD (Croatia), the Storm (Italy), and the PT111 (Brazil).

Somehow the rest all wound up being from here.

As a believer in the idea of a free market I try and base my spending on the highest return for my dollar. Weather that means I buy a S&W over a CZ is really a case by case judgment. I do try and avoid supporting governments or companies that would undermine the US and my rights. This could include companies from within the US. If I can't find an equal deal within these loose guidelines I buy used. That way I can say my purchase didn't directly benefit an idea I oppose.

I've got two foreign and one domestic. Who cares where it came from? If I've got a Norinco SKS that shoots reliably and accurately, why would I part with it due solely to the fact that it was made in China? The Chinese already have their money, so my cash is going to the honkys at my FFL. Such is life in the Mil-Surp world.

Also, I hope you guys are jokingly being racist. If so, it's funny; if not, you're jerks.

I could care less. I own HKs right now and plan to aquire som Sigs. Maybe a Colt as well.

If North Korea or Iraq made guns as well as HK I could care less as long as I could afford them.

I boycott Steyr firearms like the plague, because the company has sold
large caliber weapons to Iran; which were subsequently used by Iraqi
insurgents to kill American and allied forces. Otherwise, I don't care
where quality weapons are made; as I buy what I like~! ;) :D

I cooworker of mine said that in tires and guns, he only buys American because of quality concerns. I generally try to buy American but in guns my taste runs to more personal issues.

My guns were made in: (order of preference of guns)

Finland
Italy
USA
Argentina
Romania

I wish American cars were better made. (forget the do-dads & gadgets) Give me reliability.

Russian and Yugoslavian.

I don't lean towards U.S. made stuff. I love America but I don't like hearing things like "Buy from us, give American's more jobs, don't buy from those other guys, They took billions of dollars out of this country last year" (That quote is from a local car dealer commercial)

Rifles: USA

Shotguns: USA

Pistols: N/A but I am working on that

Savage 17hmr and 22lr (US i think, but not sure at all)

The savage rimfire rifles are made in canada. Savage bought a company that made competition rimfire rifles and started to produce them there. But all the center-fire rifles are made in the US including all the little springs. Just gotta love those savages

I don't care much wear anything is made if the price and quality are good. Manufacturing is a funny thing. The shoes you wear are probably made in China or Latin America, but the company that owns the factory is probably American. Foreign companies like Honda and Toyota build things here. Lots of companies own pieces of foreign companies or have pieces owned by foreign companies. Everything is so intertwined now that its often very hard to figure out where the money goes.

I noticed that some people seem to have a beef with China. I'm not sure why. They are not an enemy. We are not at war with them. Anyone who has read Chinese history can tell you that they are not an aggressor nation. They want Taiwan back, but they believe Taiwan to be a rightful and historical part of China. They have no interest in expansionism. Its just now what they do. I do think that they are inevitably a rising super-power, but I can hardly begrudge that to a nation with 1/5 the world's population. I lived there for a year and I'm hardly a huge fan of the Chinese Communist Party, but their legal and human rights situation is gradually improving. I honestly believe that they are (very) slowly moving toward democracy and will get there in the next 50 years, although they will never be as free as we are (due to cultural reasons a muh as anything else).

China is the only place I refuse to buy from. Most other places are a case-by-case basis, but I prefer to buy American when feasible.

I have an FEG Hi Power (can't get a totally American made HP anyway) and a Taurus 1911. Otherwise, it's all American made. My Pro-9 is the only one of those from a foreign company. A Buckmark will be the next addition to my fold, most likely, so nothing will change.

All guns aren't like cars, in that they can be machined overseas and assembled here.

There's laws that specify origin of gun part mfg'ing. (922r)

I prefer to not only to buy US, but also avoid states that are unfriendly to gun ownership (in ALL my purchases). I here too many folks say they're stuck in CA because of a job. I'm just helping out by ensuring the biz is going to freedom loving and practicing folks.

Hate to burst any bubbles here but Winchester, Weatherby, Remington and several other "US" manufaturers have a long history of having guns made by Japanese companies such as SKB and Miroku. However, this is not a bad thing. These companies produce some very high quality firearms. As or me I own guns from:

USA
Japan
Switzerland
Brazil

I follow my government's lead. The US military fields:

Handguns made by Italian and German companies
Infantry rifles made by a Belgium company
Squad automatic weapons made by a Belgium company

That works for me.

Silverado

They are made in Oshawa Ontario Canada...

Chevrolet/GMC C/K, Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra trucks, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick LaCrosse...

When it really comes down to it, what eaxctly is still 100% made in the USA, I mean you have electricty coming from Canada, Steel that has been refined from scrap in Asia, petrochemicals from the Middle East. Brass casings made from Copper mined in China...

When it really comes down to it, what eaxctly is still 100% made in the USA,

Ford Fusions are made in Mexico by Mexican workers. Toyota Camrys are made in Kentucky by American workers. Which is really the foreign car?

ABTOMAT said:
Made in USA isn’t a big deal to me, but I won’t buy guns from current enemies. No Chinese.

When was that war declared?

Anyway, most of my firearms were not made in the United States. None from China, but I do have a Chinese air rifle.
