Not a typo. Looks like new product being unveiled at SHOT.
Supposed to work with an HK416, amongst others.

I don't even know why the hell HK gave it a straighter mag well. Makes no sense.
PMAGs and Lancer L5s both have a rib running around the circumference of the magazine that interfaces precisely with the mag well on an in-spec AR lower. This prevents any chance of the magazine ever deep seating (instead of simply leaving it up to a tiny little shelf that interfaces with the mag catch. Some nimrod at H&K decided that they should change the profile of the magwell so it can be more comfortably used as a VFG. Of course, if a KaBOOM happens while you are doing this you will still use a pinky.
Magpul and Lancer both decided that most of thier users probably had better taste than that which is associated with using any H&K products other than the MP5.
I believe they meant to say the HK417 (this is the .308 model).TexasRifleman said:Says 7.62x51 on it, can't be for the HK416 unless they have various models.
Magpul should make some nice AK mags. There is a serious niche right now for quality US made AK mags, and Magpul could totally benefit from filling it.
What about the polymer Tapcos for AKs? I hear good things about them.
In which case, what the heck is an E-Mag?Davandron said:I think there is two convos going on here:
To OP's Topic, as posted the EMAG is a 5.56 magazine.
To discussion, the pictures of the 7.62 mag are another product (a PMAG for the 308 platform).

see Schuey's post above. It stands for "export."I'm pretty sure the E stands for 'European', as it will work with more European guns.
From discussion over on Warrior Talk and the AK forums, it appears the TAPCO mags are very reliable and quite strong, but are fairly brittle and will easily break off a feedlip if it dropped on concrete feed-lips-down. I have no firsthand experience with them though, so take it as hearsay.A buddy of mine has had good results with the half dozen or so he bought so far, clocking a decent round count through them if I'm not mistaken. Of course, that's a small sample size -- I had not heard about them breaking feedlips.
