Doing some cleanup work in the reloading room and found bag of brand new Magtech 45 ACP brass. Anyone have any experience with them. I have loaded various types, but never any Magtech. Anything I need to watch out for? I did a search but didn't find anything in the archives. Thanks for the help.

I believe Magtech is the same brass as CBC headstamp brass. I have reloaded plenty of the 9mm and .40S&W with no problems.

I have reloaded with Magtech brass in three or four different calibers. Everything worked just fine. Its just one of many brands other than Winchester, Federal, or Remington that has emerged on the market in recent years.

regards,

:):):)

avoid it if you have a tight chamber or use a slow powder (fouling) or use oversized/plated bullets. It's thick.

Its fine - no issues on any of my guns with Magtech from 9mm, .45 acp etc....and if its reloaded and resized properly ....its no issue on guns with tight tolerances either..../ its works just fine in my Wilson Combat and Ed Brown 1911's in .45 acp ....and you won't find many, if any, guns that have better barrels.

Magtech is good brass and yu should have no problems. They make very good primers also.

I remember the case wall as being thick also. They are tough brass and will last a long time if you do not loose them first.:D As good as Norma brass from my reloading experience.

My first cases that I reloaded I believe were CBC ( Magtech )
Had no issues with it in .45 ACP.

Besides Starline brass, Magtech (CBC) brass is my favorite .45acp brass. I hate to put a foreign product over an American product but, I would take CBC brass in a heart beat over Winchester or Remington brass, possibly even Federal. Federal brass just seems to tarnish easier/faster than CBC but is just as good in every other aspect.

Mag tech is good to go in .45, .38, and .357 in my experience. The only non US brass I've had issues reloading is Aguilla.
