tacxted - Don't worry there are many of us here in Maine that know exactly what the 2nd Amendment is for and we won't go without a fight.

I would suggest everyone from Maine to visit congress.org and on the right side of the page is a link to contact all your State representatives, let them know you do not support any further gun control (there are many Bills trying to go through right now that would hurt us significantly).

The worst part is the lower 1/3 of the state (larger population centers) is now mostly a bedroom community for greater Massachusetts and bring all their firearm views with them, then vote thus. I feel that the real Maine as it was is above a line drawn east/west through Augusta for the most part but with the lowest population unfortunately.:banghead:

FROGO, don't count all of us "southerners" out of the fight. But you're right, they might as well start calling this area "North Massachusetts".

FROGO, with all due respect, I think your a little off with that assessment. Sure that may describe some of the coastal communities, i.e. Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, Portland, Kennebunk, etc. but Oxford and even interior York county are much different.
