Since I am a dennizen of the PRK, I cannot purchase a new (or used, or even inherit) an AR-15. It is specifically banned by semi-auto nature by type ('AR-15 and clones') in the CA AWB law.
However, the entire language of the law applies to only semi-automatic guns.
Could I make a straight-pull bolt-action AR-15? Would the gun be easially (ideally w/o tools) convertible back to semi-auto should the Martians invade? Would just plugging the gas system do it?
It would look something like this in my mind;
(Cobb FA-50 images attached, this is a straight-pull 'bolt' action gun.)
