I saw a bunch for ~$550 at a recent gun show, in .357, .44, and .45

If I stocked revolver ammunition, I would have walked out of there with one - that's all that keeps me from buying at this point.

Mine was $460 at Cheaper Than Dirt in Nov 2010. Haven't seen a price lately.

The Henry was cheaper at $300.

You got that about right 22-R! I think I got hooked when I looked at that Henry .22 LR. at the LGS the other day & that picture of the .357mag. Ranch hand just set the hook! Well, the Henry is a .22 based on the inexpensive* H001 series ... and it shoots cheaper ammo**. If the ML's intended purpose is a range toy, choosing the Henry is the obvious solution.

Like I said, I don't have the ranch hand (or the H009ML) because I don't have ammo for it, and I know that if I get something in .357m or .44s or .45lc that I'll need a SA revolver and a carbine to go with the Mare's Leg ... plus more ammo cans in the closet for yet another cartridge to keep in stock.


*(inexpensive. Not "cheap", not "lousy" ... they're great guns made even better with a reasonable price)
