Well i just added a new gun to the stable a 1894s marlin limited in .45colt. It seems to be in great shape and it is very handy. It even came with the box which had the hammer spur but no manuals. I can't find much on these guns exept it was a limited run from TALO and it was made in 1997. I would really like to know what it is worth ( no its not going ANYWHERE) I fired it a little today i still have to get some brass and decide on some bullets to use for it. I will have to pick up some powder too i have some longshot that will work but it will work but it will be a very stout load so don't really want to use that for plinking
The only thing i don't like about it is the other owner took off the stock sights and put on XS sights. It appears he took the rear sight and cut the front and the back off and filed it down and then punched it back in the dove tail. I will probably put on some stock sights if i can find any for now, maybe a lyman 2 tang sight or some skinner sights. Does anyone have a lyman 2 tang sight they say it can be mounted without damaging the serial number. Basically i don't want to drill any holes in the gun.
