I have a Marlin 336A in .35 Rem on hold, made in 1951. It's in pretty nice condition considering it's age. The action is sweet, the bore looks like new.
I had an idea this one was an older rifle as it's not drilled and tapped for a scope mount.
I already have a 2005 (or thereabouts) Marlin in .35 Rem, stainless, a real beauty, but I'm thinking of adding this one as a backup . The shop wants $350 for it.
Any reason team-THR knows of why I should avoid this pre-microgroove gem?
