Marlin 60 ejection?

While searching for the most accurate ammo for my Model 60, I tried AT LEAST 50 different kinds of ammo, about 5000 rounds total (and I got it used). In all that I had exactly 3 FTEs like you describe.

I've never taken the action apart to clean (I'm afraid to, as this thing is WAY more accurate than it has any right to be!). Just normal cleaning barrel, and the parts that are easily accessible, then ever 5-600 rounds I remove the stock, and hose the action out w/ Brakleen, the relubricate (using gun oil). It actually prefers a "dirty" barrel, accuracy won't "come in" until I've fired 4-50 rounds after cleaning.

P.S. The top three most accurate ammo in mine, from most accurate to slightly less accurate are:

Wolf Match Target
Winchester T-22
Federal "Classic" Gold Label

Mine likes standard velocity better, across the board, although itshoot most anything w/ decent accuracy, but some report just the opposite, so as mentioned YMMV, .22s are known to be finicky

Take this to the bank. I called Marlin 3 days ago with this very problem. 1st, you must use high velocity shells to get enough recoil. The brand doesn't really matter much. Then the real problem, almost always...the shell ejection spring has to have it's end over in the side of the channel, or it interferes with the action. Marlin simply had me take a couple flat screwdrivers and bend it until it was staying over at the edge where it belongs. It took 5 minutes, jamming is GONE. They informed me that this is nearly always the case. If you have trouble with this or my explanation, call them. They were wonderfull, and will fix it for you if necessary.

Huh? That's news to mine (see previous post), it works great with the standard velocity stuff.

i have feed mine everything in 22lr form and have never had a problem with failure to feed or eject. the only faliure to fires where taken care of by turning them slightly and reinserting them by hand.

i used TMajor's link for disassembly because I got one used ad it would FTFeed, FTE, FTFire, you name it it was doing it, includig softhits on the cartridges. Took it down this afternoon and followed the instructions, but now that it is back together I got a few issues. It seems to be functioning, but the action doesn't feel as smooth as it was before I took it apart. It kinda feels like it's sticking now when I pull the charging handle back. The safety button under the trigger is really tight now. I eased back on the screw beneath it, and it helps, but not much. Also the trigger seems heavier and shorter. Any ideas?
