So last night I was thinking about my .22 and realized that the magazine holding-in piece was still bent out of shape from when I flew with it. I decided I would call Marlin and ask them if they would fix it for free. They were closed so I decided I could fix it myself, after all it is just a little piece of steel that needed to be bent back into shape. ;)

I then took apart the gun and removed the piece that houses the hammer, some of the trigger assembly and the magwell. As I was pulling apart the two sides of this assemble to get the magwell and the attached mag retainer off, there was a dreaded SPROOINNNG. The hammer and several little pieces catapulted into various parts of my room and foiled my plan of a simple fix. I picked up all the pieces I could see and tried to put back it back together but was unable to do so. Because of this, I am in great need of some good pictures of the assembly that holds the hammer. If someone who has a 795 could do this it would be absolutely tremendous!

Thanks in advance. :)

I have the manual and it isn't a very good diagram, but I kinda worked it out from looking at the parts and the manual. But I want to be super sure that it is right and that I 'm not missing any parts.

Thanks guys. The takedown video wasn't any help as I was mainly concerned with reassembling the hammer and related pieces and taking those apart is not covered in a field strip, which is basically what the video shows. However I did manage to find some pictures of a Model 60 assembly on rimfirecentral and I put my gun back together using that, the part guide, and some thinking as my model. I still would like a picture showing how the hammer strut bridge and hammer strut look in a correctly assembled 795 if anyone can mange to do that.
