What do people know about these rifles, im sure their are less aftermarket parts but are they good? Big 5 is selling them for 130 and it seems like a great price for a .22 semi auto rifle.

How does this rifle stack up to a good ole 10/22?

I have one and I enjoy it. I will list some pros and cons in no particular order.

- Plastic trigger group & guard
- 10 round magazines are the most you'll find, but they aren't expensive & are reliable
- I've been very pleased with the consistency of mine. I've had maybe two FTE in over 1000 rounds of different types. For a $130 semi-auto, it's been well worth it.

I think I'm going to buy one too. I just came back from Turners and they have the same price, it feels like a solid rifle and I like Marlin guns.
Grimjaw how much did you find the extra magazines for?
The 795 should be a good bumming around the Desert rifle with an eye towards Bunnies.............. YUM
Longboard

longboard, Bud's has them for ~$14 + shipping, and I've been able to find them in sporting goods stores for the same amount + tax.

Again, the triggers are nothing to write home about, but I don't think they are much different than the triggers on any new Marlin 60. The longest you wait in between cleanings the grittier the trigger tends to feel. Still, I've been able to do good groups from it. I bought mine because it was so cheap and then I sat on it for almost six months without shooting it. I'd intended to sell it but took it to the range on a whim and after fiddling with a couple of different scopes and ammo types I've been able to do this.

they are nice, very accurate, usually a synth stock, that is schnabel style. I am not 100 percent sure, but marlin may be disc. this rifle. 130 is really a steal for it, for the bbl alone.

Be advised that Winchester "X-pert" ammo jams like crazy in these (and most semi autos). From what I've been able to tell everything else works just fine.

I've had one for a good long while - I like it. I recently went back to irons on it but had great success with a 4X scope on it shooting rabbits. Magazines were about $10 or so at Gander Mtn, and very reliable. Golden bullets are good enough for mine.

I have one and like it a lot. It is accurate for the price (my groups look similiar to Grimjaws) and is reliable. I wanted a cheap, magazine fed .22 rifle and had not desire to put more money into it (which is why I didn't get the 10/22).

If you think you will want to upgrade, get a 10/22. If not, 795 all the way.
