Marlin 917V

I recently bought a Marlin 917V. I very satisfied with the tiny groups im getting @100yds, but I'm having some misfires ....I thought it may be a bad batch of ammo. I'm now through my 3rd box from 3 different manufacturers. I havent heard of anyone else having similar problems. Up untill now, I have only owned centerfire setups.. anysuggestions would greatly be appreciated.

my 917 loves hornady all day long... has had problems extracting cci
i havent heard of lightstrikes... but have a peak at the above sight and see

Even high quality rimfire ammo will have misfires. Try CCI mini-mags. I've had great luck with those. In fact, that's all I'll buy.

Have a 917 and feeds everything
if you have tried 3 diff kinds of ammo , I think a call to Marlin is in order

Never had any problems with misfires or light strikes regardless of the brand.

My biggest gripe is that it really wont give consistent groupings regardless of the brand of ammo. I can shoot 3 or 4 5-round groups that are about quarter size at 100 yards, then the next group is all over the place.:banghead:
