I love this little gun! It's the perfect blue collar bolt action .22. There's just one problem. How can I put an aperture/peep sight on it? The scope rails don't go all the way back on the receiver to mount one using the rails. Does anyone know if I can drill and tap the side of the receiver and inlet the stock to mount one target style? Help me out please! If I could just get this sight on here it would be my idea of a perfect rimfire.

Thanks guys,
Adam

Williams makes a peep that will fit on the grooved tip off rails on your rifle. You will most likely need a taller front sight. The sight will be a little bit forward and the hole may be too small. I normally drill my inserts out and you can do the same thing.

The one ragged hole replacement blades won't work on your factory sight. They are made to relace the rear sight insert that has screws holding them on. Plus they are way far foward.

I have a 891t myself. Its a nice shooting rifle. You may not reach the full potential of your rifle with a peep.

Finally!

Thank you for the replies. I've posted i two other forums and I still haven't gotten one response. I'm thinking that the receiver can't be that much different than previous marlin models that used side-mounts. I might need to get creative by calling Marlin and New England Custom Gun (custom sight makers) to get this done.

That'll be awesome, $200 worth of sights on a $175 rifle:rolleyes:. It's expensive being anal.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen,
Adam
