Ok I saw the popularity of the marlin 39a club thread and the 336 club thread so I think there should be a thread were you can post pictures of your marlin lever guns. Just post pictures of your marlin lever guns.

P.S. other marlins are ok too

Here's one of my 1894PG .44 mag. That's my dog in the background.

Minscout why do you have the lever taped down in you pic? Nice dog by the way.

I have 4 Marlin lever guns now. More to come, I am sure.
The one pictured here is a 1957 336, straight stock, chambered in .35 Remington. I picked it up at a Gun Show recently.

hi all

:)

i want to buy a marlin xlr in 308. i like old double barrel rifle and shotgun cause they are so easy to clean and keep in good shape. I notice that the level action rifle canon cannot be taked apart??? so how do you clean it???

and should i buy it in 308 or 30-30???

thank you all and happy hunting

If you don't own a 30-30, You need to start with that one... the 308 will need special ammo.. LeverEvolution... They have soft tips. They are the only bullet maker so far that has made bullets.

I used this as my house gun and kept the magazine loaded at all times. I have several leverguns which I handle, dry fire, etc on a daily basis. The tape was just an additional reminder that this particular gun was loaded. And the dog. He's a big pussycat, would'nt hurt a fly.
