Looking for some suggestions where to get parts. Have an old Model 39 that needs a few of the internal springs replaced and possibly an extractor, put the gun away a few years ago and am itching to get it back out shooting. I know about the obvious places like Numrich and Brownells but didn't know if anyone had other suggestions.

Link to my post/pics of the gun if anyone is interested.

Here's sources for Marlin 39 springs and extractors.
Note that there are several types of extractors, depending on when it was made:

NOTE: Make CERTAIN your Marlin 39 has a serial number that starts with "HS".
Any other prefix or no prefix means the rifle was made for Standard Velocity .22 ammo ONLY.
If you shoot High Speed ammo the bolt will break.
The early Model 39 was not usable with modern High Speed ammo until the mid-to later 1930's When the bolt was beefed up for modern ammo the "HS" was added to the serial number.
An "S" prefix means the rifle was a higher grade rifle with better finish and often fancy wood. It does NOT mean it's usable with modern High Speed ammo.

Brownell's. Parts for NEW current model. However, most springs interchange with older models.

Wolff. New top quality springs.

Thanks, dfariswheel.

Pretty sure I have tracked down the parts I will need. It is definitely a 20's model that should only be used with standard velocity ammo.
