Hey everyone,
I've got a quick question reguarding serial numbers and value of a gun. To better inform everyone, I should explain my situation. I'm trying to sell my Pre-89' Mauser model 66. For those not familiar with it, it is a fancy bolt rifle with interchangeble barrels. The book value on the gun was $1800 with the matching barrel. I have since changed the barrel so it does not match the action. How much could I expect to get without matching numbers? The gun is in perfect condition and is flawless throughout.
I know with the surplus military rifles the unmatching numbers can effect value. Is this the same with fancy grade sporters?
Any help is much appreciated, thanks!
