I drifted the pin out, but I can't get the rear sight off? What gives? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I believe that the front of the sight ladder has 2 'ears' that fit into recesses in the base. Press the front of the light ladder DOWN HARD and then it should slide out toward the rear of the rifle. Give it a try and let us know.

critter is correct. You have to push down hard to disengage the sight before sliding it backwards. I'm a pretty big guy and its a real thumb-buster to get it out.

If you have too much difficulty, spray some Break-Free or similar oil in the sight housing to loosen up any dried cosmo that may be hiding in there and making things harder.

Got it thanks. Now just a quick trip to the hospital to re-attach my thumbs and we're all golden again.

Anyone know the purpose of the screw just above the rear sight toward the forarm? It doesn't seam to have any direct purpose.
