Mauser stocks

I have a Brno 98/22 that I gave my father in law years ago, he recently passed and it was given back to me. It did however come back without a stock and it can't be found in any of his stuff. So what other Mauser stocks will fit it,I can't seem to locate a 98/22 stock.

I don't know enough about Mausers, but someone on another forum suggested K98 stocks should fit? No idea if that's true, so I'd wait for more informed individuals. If they do fit, though, Boyds offers stocks for the K98 so that might be an option. Really, if Boyds carries a stock that will fit it that would be my suggestion, though they don't have one specifically listed as being for the 98/22.

Gotcha. Well, if K98 stocks do in fact fit, there are some on ebay at the moment.

G98 stocks will be a better match, since many of the 98/22s started out as G98s.

Here's what Robert Ball has to say about the original configuration:



It looks like a standard German Gewehr 98 stock may fit, since they both appear to feature the same basic action and barrel configuration, but the handguard is not the German type and you might have to mix and match a bit.

FWIW, Liberty Tree has some replacement stocks that will get you pretty close.
