I hate to break it to a lot of people but Tokarev ammo is loaded to about the same pressures as 7.63 Mauser ammo, which is to say red hot, around 40,000 PSI. When the russians copied the round, they didn't change the loading. Mausers break shooting Tokarev ammo because their owners don't bother to change the springs. (Call Wolff Gunsprings, they have springs for just about anything that shoots)
Lets start a fight. Of the two pistols, the Mauser is Stronger. Don't think so? Chamber a 9mm Tokarev to 38 super, and see how long it lasts before it beats itself to death. Have you forgotten that the Broomhandle was chambered for the 9x25 Export Mauser, a round that makes the 38 Super look puny. ( 128gr bullet @1360) Broomhandles had no trouble with that round.
My shooter Broomhandle has over two thousand rounds of Tokarev ammo under its belt, without a hitch. It will not function with anything lighter than full power Tokarev ammo. That fact right there should tell you something.
A lot of Caca out there. Dot get any on ya"

I cracked a slide on a polish tokarev with standard ammo. Turns out the spring was a little worn out. Hundred and twenty dollar lesson -_-
