Lost in the humor (and Tucker did own her) was a flat out lie she told while she was trying to deflect from answering the evil barrel shroud question that she could not answer.

In the referring to the since sunsetted 1994 AWB: "the guns that were chosen back in those days were the guns that most gangs and criminals were using to kill our police officers".

WRONG - so called "assault weapons" have never been a weapon of choice by gangs or criminals because they are hard to conceal. A Justice Department study has shown they are used in less than 3%, and perhaps even only 1%, of crimes committed by criminals with firearms.

So, McCarthy does not only not understand what she is legislating, she either does not know or lies about the facts that are supposed to support her legislation that she does not understand.
