And if you mixed them up as "malicious ignorance" or "actual deceit", both would apply, as well.

The truth is, some of the mouthpieces out there don't let the truth get in the way of a good (anti-gun) story.

Malicious Deceit

The far left liberals have a belief that the ends justify the means. They believe that the moral objective of disarming all persons out weighs the immoral act of distorting the truth (telling lies). Our society has gone down the slippery slope of situational ethics. Too few people believe in absolute right and wrong. Environmentalists also believe that their higher calling of protecting nature puts them above the rest of society and therefore they can lie and twist the truth to suite their agenda.
