Mec-Gar magazines for a Ruger Mark II?

I didn't know Mec Gar made them! Mk II mags are a little spendy, other than that, I don't seee why you would want after market mags.

After market mags? I've a bunch of Ram-Line 12-round stainless MKII magazines. As to why I'd want them, there are twelve plates in our plate rack. They work great and were a couple of dollars cheaper than the Ruger 10 round mags.

Haven't tried theMKII Mec-Gar mags, but can't think of any Mec-Gar magazine I've ever been unhappy with over the years.

I've used Mec gar mags in the past in a few
auto loaders,i never had a problem with any
of the Mec gar mags.

I have a single Mec Gar mag for a Ruger Mk II. The button to depress the follower spring is slightly smaller then the factory Mk II mags. That makes it just a little bit harder to load the mags. Not much, but enough to notice to where I can tell the difference between the Ruger mag and the Mec Gar mag as soon as I start to push the button down. Other than that, it's worked fine.

I snagged this mag when it was deeply discounted at a local store. It was either mis-priced, or on clearance. It was substanially cheaper then a real Ruger mag. If I got another great deal like that, I'd buy another one, but for what they charge for full retail I'd rather spend a little more and get a Ruger factory Mk II mag.

Thanks for the input. I prefer factory mags, but I've never heard anything bad about mec-gars. I just wanted to see if there was any singularly bad experiences wih them in the Mark II.
