We should have sued Hitler for trying to stop us in Normandy that time.

If your kids make pests of themselves on your neighbor's property, you can be sued. Why can't we sue out |neighbors" for the "pests" they send to us?

Good grief, shooting people? The Keyboard Korps of the Border Guards is out in force today. Ojos, amigos!

The Mexican government has threatened to sue if . . . This is a position of admitted weakness, hardly intimidation.

BTW, the Mexican government and citizens sometimes do sue the U.S. federal and state governments for civil rights violations and no one was jumping up and down about it.;)

actully i was jumping up and down when i heard about hte mexicans sueing the states for notahveing water in the desert like some places and her husband died form dehadration so she sued the statsf for not having water.. .bah humbug

Quote from Art:

"The physical reality is that compared to the U.S., Mexico is like the flea crawling up an elephant's leg with his mind set on forcible seduction. The political reality is that our elephant hasn't got the moral fortitude of a flea."

Art, great analogy. And it is almost like the Flea is yelling to the Elephant while seducing her, "Suffer, Momma, Suffer!" :)

:cuss:

On a side note, did anybody notice this from the article?

Sending the National Guard "will not stop the flow of migrants. To the contrary, it will probably go up," as people try to get into the U.S. with hopes of applying for a possible amnesty program,

Our politicians haven't figured this out, but Mexico already has. Time to get some new congress critters.

I just realized somthing. The Aztlan(sp?) movement is claiming that the SW US belongs to Mexico. Well accourding to that logic, Mexico belongs to Spain. I propose that we hand Mexico over to the Spanish government, I'm sure that will go over like a flaming pinata.:neener:

we should charge the mexican govt for cleanup of all the garbage that their citizens leave on our borders. this whole situation is getting so ridiculous that even liberals should be able to laugh.

"6000 National Guardsman? Bush needs to send in 50,000+ and make that area of the border actually a border."

Yes, along with REAL penalties for illegaly breeching our national border.:fire: :fire: :fire:

With that particular brand of logic I guess the land actually belongs to the indians, the ones the spanish stole it from in the first place. One more thing let us not forget that they are the ones that actually started the indians hateing white man, :what: they inslaved them to work their gold mines then killed them when they were finished with them.:fire:

I think there is alot of "I cant believe those Gringos fall for this stuff" going on down there.
Having some first hand knowledge of Mexico I suspect the 4 percent in Mexico
who control all the money are laughing their butts off.

To address such a suit against USA, an embargo of Mexican goods imported into the USA might be anticipated, however it seems that Mexico's chief import is its own people, and since that boycott is already established, we are all set!

Mexico is our number 2 source of oil. We then tend to make nice with them, good neighbor and all that. Mexico is also primed to become number one, having just discovered the largest offshore deposits in the world and then eventually able to cover a withdrawal from countries that are becoming increasingly problematic.

1 Canada
2 Mexico
3 Saudi Arabia
4 Venezuela
5 Nigeria

What is mexico going to sue us for? Protecting our borders? How would they like it if every year thousand's of americans, crossed into mexico illegaly? They wouldn't, and neither do we like Mexicans coming illeagally into our country.

seems to me at least one world war was begun by a political assassination

And I don't think putting snipers on the border is out of the question. Anyone know how Mexico treats illegals sneaking in from their southern border? WE are the weak in this deal.

Memories, Sweet Memories

I grew up with my great uncle Rob. He visited Mexico as a tourist in the early part of the last century. Black Jack Pershing was his tour guide. They hit all of the hot spots and made a lot of noise trying to hook up with Pancho Villa. Uncle Rob still had his .45 when I was growing up and would put a sombrero on the dummies he used as targets when he was teaching me to shoot. I think I still have that .45 locked in the safe deposit box. I guess time to bring it out.

Our memories are short and most people do not even know how our government reacted the last time the Mexicans invaded us. I doubt that the whole "Mexican Incursion" in taught in our schools...not politically correct I guess...The local newspaper has copies going all the way back to the revolution- 1776..I think I'll make copies about the whole Villa episode, send them to my senators-Hillary and Chuck- and suggest we get some cojones and respond to this invasion the same way....:fire: :fire: :cuss: :banghead:

SHERIFF TRUMBO

Oregon sheriff bills Mexico for jailing illegal immigrants
By TOMAS ALEX TIZON
Los Angeles Times

PENDLETON, ORE. - Out of ideas and low on cash one cold morning, the man with the biggest badge in town put his meaty fingers on a keyboard and tapped out a letter to the leader of Mexico.
"Dear Precidente (sic) Fox," it began.
"My name is John Trumbo. I am Sheriff of Umatilla County in northeastern Oregon." Illegal immigrants "from your country" who committed crimes here, the letter said, cost Americans lots of money.
Last year, more than 360 of "your citizens" spent time in jail "at a cost of $63 a day which equates to a request for payment of $318,843," the letter concluded. "At this time, you will not be billed for medical, dental and transportation costs. Your prompt attention to this request will be very much appreciated."
Three months later, Trumbo reports, Vicente Fox still has not paid up. The Mexican president has issued no response.
The silence has reverberated at the Umatilla County Justice Center. Here, the influx of Mexican immigrants — many of them illegal and a portion criminal — has become an increasingly prickly issue.
To anyone who asked, Trumbo explained:
The county has a daily jail capacity of 252 inmates but can afford staff and services for only 135 inmates. The sheriff's office should have a minimum of 27 patrol officers but can fund only nine. Between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m., no patrol officer is on duty.
"When people call the police, they expect to see the police," Trumbo says. "They see it on TV all the time. But there are times when I can't send anybody, because I don't have anybody because I don't have the money."
One reason, he says: The department spends much of its $6.5 million annual budget on apprehending and jailing illegal immigrants.
He has no problem with Hispanics personally, he says. "Some of my best friends," Trumbo says, "are Hispanic." He just wanted to tell someone, anyone, about the situation.
In the past 16 years, the Hispanic population in 20 of Oregon's 36 counties has as much as tripled.
Many of them end up in places like Umatilla County, where they take the hardest farming jobs or work in food-processing factories.
The population increase has led to a corresponding rise in the number of undocumented immigrants who commit crimes. Trumbo says between nine and 15 of his jail beds are occupied each day by illegal immigrants from Mexico.
The majority of jailed illegal immigrants are in for property crimes. One man arrested on burglary charges, Juan Flores-Romero, has been in the Umatilla County jail 20 times. Flores-Romero, 62, was deported in almost every instance.
Says Trumbo: "The old joke among the immigration agents who shuttled these guys back to Mexico was, 'I hope we make it back to Pendleton before they do.' "
--------------------------------

I would like to emphasize here that some of our Sheriffs are doing multiple deports of career criminals. Hardly the kind of people who would be eligible for citizenship in any case. And what is the point, if the border is so open that they are back the next week? The more times we deport them, the more money it costs us... :banghead:
