I attempted to order a 15-round and a 20-round M1 carbine magazine from Midway USA. I immediately received a pop-up stating that these could not be shipped to Maryland.:cuss: What????:scrutiny:

20-round and lower capacity magazines are quite legal even here in the Peoples Republik of MD. Has anyone else run into this. It appears to be something new.:fire:

I've never had any problems with ordering magazines of any kind through Midway.

A quick email to their customer service department should rectify things.

iirc, a few places (cheaper than dirt comes to mind) won't sell a lot of parts to Montgomery county. . . something about it being "too close" to DC.

Agreed.
A phone call to them wouldn't hurt, either.

I've ordered several and had them deliver to me. (South of DC.)

"Monkey County" might have their own restrictions. . . . . .

I'm in the northernmost point in Monkey County, and I've still never had a problem.

I've ordered at least two dozen mags of varying capacities without a hitch. Just as a test, I tried ordering one of those National Magazine 20-rounders just now, going all the way until the "click this for final confirmation." No problems.

Probably some kind of glitch.

It WAS a glitch!

Talked with Midway Customer Service and they have verified that they have a glitch on their web site, at least for M1 carbine mags. Apparently the program was picking up the "30" from 30 (caliber) carbine and completely missing the actual number of rounds in the magazine in question. This held true for ALL M1 carbine mags.

They tell me that they are in the process of fixing it. In the meantime, they took my order over the phone, bypassing the problem. :D

(Oh, yes. To err is human. To really screw things up, use a computer!)

Thanks to all those who responded. I appreciate it.
