Finally finished replacing all the parts I wanted to on my SA Mil-Spec. Very happy with the result.

Here's a picture of the stock Mil-Spec as it came from SA (With the exception of the grips.)

Here is the completed build.

Parts replaced are:

Hogue Rubber Grips for the stock black plastic models.
Smith & Alexander Arched Main Spring Housing for the ILS unit.
Wolf Spring Kit
Ed Brown Hardcore Extractor
Wilson Combat Extended Tactical Magazine Release
Cylinder & Slide Extended Tactical Thumb Safety
Cylinder & Slide Long Lightweight Videcki Trigger
Ed Brown Hardcore Slide Stop

The fitting work took course over 2 days after work, and was probably about 4 to 5 hours total of elapsed time.

The part that took the most care and work was probably the Thumb Safety. Very careful work with various grades of stone resulted in a very positive feel to the safety from engagement to disengagement. To anyone wanting to try this for yourself. Here is my best advice. GO SLOW! Using the stock thumb safety as a guide on the angle I wanted, I'd only give the new safety about 2 or 3 passes with the stone before checking the fit in the frame on the sear. This process took about an hour in itself, but the results were well worth it.

I was amazed at the difference in trigger pull after just the addition of the new trigger. With the stock trigger installed, I was getting about a 5lb 7ounce mushy pull on my Lyman gauge. After fitting the new trigger, pull weight has dropped to a very crisp 4lb 8 ounces.

At some point I will probably send the gun out for installation of some Novak Sights, get the sear/disconnector/hammer replaced with better quality parts, and possibly refinish the whole deal. For now though, I consider the pistol to be perfectly adequate for my defense and carry needs.
