Navy Aviation Electrician, Petty Officer 2nd class.

- HSL-30 Kaman H2 (Helicoptor Anti Submarine Squadron). Norfolk, VA. 84-87. Stateside shore duty for my first tour.

- AIMD 620 Whidbey Island. (Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department) Sea Operational Detachment assigned to support sea going A6, EA6B, aircraft aboard the USS Ranger and USS Lincoln. Aircraft Generator Shop on both boats. Indian Ocean Yaught Club 87'. Persian Gulf 89'.

Got out in 91 just before being deployed as support for Desert Storm when a buddy volunteered to take my next sea assignment. THANX MIKEY GARZA! I had shore duty orders sitting on my desk to stay at Whidbey but ended up getting out when my enlistment expired.

I had a job waiting for me on the outside. Wife, bun in the oven, You know... I never regret joining. Never regret getting out.

Currently working in the S-3 shop of 1-18 Infantry Battalion in Germany. I'm aspiring to go to Officer Candidate School, but it looks like we are going to Iraq in June. So that'll probably have to wait a year.
 
USAF, 1976-1980 LE Specialist. I believe we're called Security Forces now. Was at RAF Upper Heyford, and Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. Was on Tac team in Europe.

45 yrs USN. 1956 -2001, 18yrs, 9 mo's 10 days ( I forget the hours minutes and seconds) Active Duty. The rest in Fleet Reserve and sworn USN Civil Service, Loved every bit of it.
