Mini Red Dots (FFII, RMR, T1/H1, Etc)

I'm looking at the Midwest Industries AK Mini Dot mount.

This mount is available for Burris Fast Fire II, Leupold Delta Point, and Trijicon RMR with lower third co-witness. They also offer the mount without co-witness capability for the Aimpoint Micro T1/H1, Vortex Sparc, and Primary Arms MD-06.

I'm mostly interested in the co-witness capable sights. Thoughts, experiences, pros & cons to each?

When I was able to afford the Larue Tactical Iron-Dot they were discontinued and I was upset about it as I had tried the Ultimak rail and didn't like it and the Iron-dot seemed the way to go.

After some research on mini red dot sights I decided on the Insight MRDS if Larue Tactical ever re-introduced their Iron-Dot. I even e-mailed LT and was told they were working on re-introducing their mini red dot sight mount soon.

So I sat on my hands checking every day to see when they'd re-introduce it again. In my perusings I came across a website that talked about another company that had introduced their version of a mini red dot sight mount for the AK rifle. It was the Midwest Industries' mini red dot sight mount, but they didn't offer a mount for the Insight MRDS.

So again I start researching the mrds's that they had mounts available for and decided that the Leupold DeltaPoint was the one I wanted. I bought the mount and will be buying the DeltaPoint here soon and will put it together to see what I think.

I'm interested in the MI AK mount too. I have a FFII on a 336ss and like it a lot so far. Its very bright in all lighting conditions, no wash out. The Delta Point seems too expensive for the copy that it is; what does it offer over the Burris besides the Leupold name? The RMR is intriguing because of the fiber optics ( I have a 3-9 accupoint that I really enjoy), but it's pricey. I read up on the FFII before I purchased and it has very good reviews. I think it's a good bargain.
I really wonder why Larue dropped their sight mount though! Anyone know?

Neat idea, but the rifle in question is a Norinco NHM 90 which doesn't have the standard AK side mount.

I have a Ultimak on my AK with a Micro H1- gives a lower 1/3 co-witness. Best set-up for a AK I have tried.

Yeah, if you don't have a side mount I'd go with an Ultimak rail so you can actually use an Aimpoint. They are #1 for a reason.
