Actually, yes, they can. I have seen one mini-revolver that fired something like .08 Cal rimfire rounds.

They most certainly do go BANG! A swiss company makes really tiny pistols and the ammunition to go with it. Oh I also think it's funny they can't import the pistol to the US because it's "not sporting" lol.
