Minor Range Accident

While out of town, had to visit the ER after breaking a tooth earlier in the day after shooting a 4X600 match. I was in and out in 40 minutes, all this on a Saturday night with enough painkillers and antibiotics to last a week, of which 30 minutes of that time was devoted to B.S'ing with the ER doc on highpower rifle competition.

There's a Kansas City Thoracic surgeon who shoots HP, too.

Friend of mine's a RNA (nurse gas passer) who's a former Detroit ER nurse, bona fide member of the Detroit Knife and Gun club. He's big on T/C contenders.

Don't even get me started on all the EMT's/paramedics I know who shoot as well.

Oooohhh, I know (roughly) how that feels. I got a deep scratch near the iris a few years back, thanks to a pine tree needle. It was NOT fun. It kinda CAUGHT on the underside of my eyelid every time I blinked for a week, and even now it still sometimes does when it's really dry out. Make sure she does ALL of the follow-up visits, eyeball injuries are not something to take lightly

Scary. Luckily eyes heal incredibly well.

I second the thought about replacing a self defense weapon that tries to work for the other team. Never thought about that before.

Hope your wife heals up soon. Ouch. That's gotta be one of those one-in-a-million deals.

I've still got a neat little scar where a piece of 9mm brass bounced off my hat (I wasn't wearing it for safety,I just always wear a ball cap) and got stuck between my glasses and my eyebrow. It tried to torpedo straight down and the edge of the brass burned a nice clean line on my eyebrow.
