Ohio has legislation introduced on both ends of the spectrum.

That's what I've been reading. The antigun measures were introduced by some dumb Democrat (who, if she ever had an original thought, it would be the shortest trip on earth) who doubtless got her epiphany from Colorado, New Jersey, the white house, etc.

This is the reply I got from My Representative Robert Ross of District 142

Last week's report began in discussing good/bad legislation, and your representative's respective actions for each. This week, I had every intention on focusing on several of the bills which have successfully navigated their way throught the committee, further discussing our state's budget, talking about some of the other measure's that I've been working on to reduce regulation while saving taxpayer dollars; and then House Bill 545 was filed....

In only the second day since filing, I have already received an overwhelming response from my constituents, asking me to oppose HB545, which is another anti-gun/rights related, 2nd Amendment infrigement;- although this proposal comes from within our state rather than from the Federal Government. To better understand my position on this bill and on this issue, allow me to quote Senator Nieves, who's opinion I share:
"To all my 2nd Amendment supporting friends: Let me make this perfectly and abundantly clear... The Dems in BOTH the Missouri House & Senate have, and will likely continue, to file Anti-Gun Legislation. Here's the Good News - I am the chairman of the committee in the senate to which ALL gun bills are sent!! ALL Gun Bills, good or bad, must go through me!! I assure you, I promise you, all these Anti-Gun Bills are dead, as in D E A D - Dead!! ALL - ALL - ALL the Anti-Gun Bills are DEAD!"
I couldn't have put it better myself. I believe in a "ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY" relating to any infringements on our 2nd Amendment rights. Our founding fathers understood the importance of protecting this right in the sacred document that is our Constitution. While the White House and several “out-of-touch” individuals within the state and federal governments may have a desire to undermine the intent of our founders, myself and the majority of my colleagues will remain true to the will of the people and to the principles of freedom that have made this nation the greatest on Earth.

As previously mentioned, I have cosponsored HB170, HJR15, and HB436; all of which stand to protect our rights from those who would infringe upon them. I plan to do everything possible to protect and preserve all of our rights; including and probably one of the most important - the right to keep and bear arms.

This is why I love Missouri.

You can't see a pattern? We put an America hating, gun hating "community organizer" into the White House.
Some dirt bag punk shoots up a school.
Suddenly the POTUS is emboldened to announce that he's going to (do his best to) destroy the 2nd Amendment.
Suddenly state politicians in California, Missouri, New York and Ohio announce they, too, are going to (do their best to) destroy the 2nd Amendment.
These are not unrelated events.

The only thing they have in common is they will all fail.

BTW, do you have any quote of where the President "announce that he's going to (do his best to) destroy the 2nd Amendment"?

I've not read that anywhere. I think it's just hyperbole.
