Tell, me Aligator, are you aware that a few years ago in my country Australia in the state of New South Wales, a "leading light" of the "gun control" movement came out and publicly stated that recreational firearms owners were more likely to sexually molest their own children than "normal" people? "

It is exactly that sort of behaviour, from irresponsible people purporting to be supporters of the arms control movement which makes any sort of agreement on arms control so difficult.

Tom, Straightshooter and Cardigan, tell me I'm wrong.

Everyone may as well give it up. About the only people who read these gun topics are pro gunners.

Tom and Cardigan… and now, 'aligator' [sic]… simple post cut & pastes from anti gun sites from years past. They post in an identical style, always starting a new thread rather than stay with the same one they previously initiated.

They sometimes respond to each other with a perfunctory slap on the back and another cut & paste before abandoning the thread and moving on. Overtly, they ignore pro gun posters, but covertly, it is obvious their goal is to provoke.

In the past, the best response has been to answer in kind… post a whole series of new threads, initiating your own series of independent gun subjects in long cut & paste rants. This has the effect of moving their own new threads rapidly down and off the page.

After a while, they (he/she) will take official notice and start responding directly with angry complaints. At that point you can offer to debate within a single thread without starting new ones… if they'll do the same. In the past, though, they (he/she) usually respond to that by simply going away for a while and then eventually returning under a new username.

Well thanks for that Dr Doom. I will now be able to sleep at night thanks to your report on colateral damage. Kinda like a Pentagon general watching it all on CNN while we suffer in the trenches. This War between both sides sides also has an effect on civilian posters who want to discuss politics in between the gun posts if possible.
Indeed they seem well organised. Sadly yer wrong.I have tried banning IP locations and they are all separate on the anti gun side coming from different computers and countries.
They must talk on the phone.
Not so the Pro Gun Side. There are three individuals here with several nics. I dont mind.

Its your problem not mine though I suspect you dont like em much.

For us its traffic and good reads. The discourse is limited only by
the ability of the posters in using the right weapon.
Plagirising other peoples posts as stolen bullets makes me uncomfortable. But all bullets will do what the sender wants. Faithful arent they?

But from a lateral point of view... at least aligator has a sense of humour !!!!!

How about this little Gem from Cardigan.

Wal Mart DOES sell guns. Well, I know people give you all kinds of reasons to own a GUN but that doesn't mean that someone can't use those guns to kill people. Wal-Mart also Stocks Brokeback Mountain Next to Sesame Street

And oh yes the aligators Joke

She spoke for almost an hour on her future plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living, should she one day become the first female President. She referred to her career as a New York Senator, and how she had signed "YES" for every Indian issue that came to her desk for approval.

Although the Senator was vague on the details of her plan, she seemed most enthusiastic about her future ideas for helping her "red sisters and brothers".

At the conclusion of her speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with her new Indian name - Walking Eagle.

The proud Senator then departed in her motorcade, waving to the crowds. A news reporter later inquired of the group of chiefs as to how they came to select the new name given to the Senator.

They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of **** it can no longer fly.

Okay, I don't know what the subject was or what the heck you're talking about.

He told you what the point was.:uhoh: I think he wishes he had more traffic on his blog so he copies it over here on THR.

What the heck was that all about??? Am I missing something or was that just inane ramblings with just a hint of prejuidice (the brokeback Mountain comment)?

methinks something was lost in the translation.

It probably made sense on the original forum when you could see who was saying what and to whom, but as a C&P it lacks clarity and interest.

TLDR.
