Oops, I mixed a little H4895 with Varget. It was about 180 grains of H4895 into a 1 pound jug of Varget. did I just waste a very expensive and scarce bottle of powder?

Just say no!

There will be some posters who say "use it".
But remember, they're not at the end of the rifle, you are.

I know, it sucks.
But I'll bet you won't do it again.
(learned from a similar experience.)
NEVER, NEVER have 2 powders out at the same time.

Please stay safe.

Really? But they load within 1% of each other and I only added about 4% ratio. I also load to the middle of the charge range for my gun. I think I could scoop out the top portion before having to waste it all. Just hard to do for such a little bit when I can't find powder anywhere.

It's thrown out. Consider the thread closed. I don't want to start a big debate like I read in some other threads. Better safe than sorry. Thanks guys.:)

If you want to try and reason the mistake in such a manner, that it justifies your desire to use it, then do so, it's your body and firearm. This is a mistake you made the result of failing to adhere to one of the rules of reloading, and now you want to break a second rule? No support here.
