Modifying Speedloader to be IDPA legal?

There was a lot of talk and a little work done to cover speedloaders in such things when IDPA started requiring it.

Why? Do you already have a set of those?
Otherwise, there are several brands of carriers that meet the rule.

I have some that look similar but are Kydex and actually more secure than the bucket type that replaced them.

Mostly cost. I usually shoot ESP, but I ran SSR on a whim last match with a pocket full of HKS speedloaders. I had such a good time (and didn't due half bad) that I want to do it some more. I am going to spring for some Comp iiis, and was looking for a low cost alternative to the north-mountain holders. at $35 a pop I just can't quite stomach three of those suckers and the comp iiis.

AFAIK, the mods you describe to the holders in the link ought to be IDPA-legal.

It is "legal" to modify or build equipment that follow the rules. Even the stupid ones.
