"Don't suppose anyone knows when the third Enemies is out?"

ditto. I can't find a date, but i finished re-reading the first two just last week in anticipation of #3's release. Excited! :D

The scenario is a long-shot, but is possible with sufficient
relocators and some organization. There's no reason why Wyoming
could not be eventually governed by freedom-minded folks of the
shooting culture. There are certainly enough of us, however scattered
about.

Regarding comments about how Molôn Labé! in some places reads
like a nonfiction manual, that aspect was unavoidable. It is less of a
novel than most novels, because its primary character wasn't even a
character at all, but the plan/execution of an idea. For all the book's
shortcomings, Molôn Labé! is energizing many people to give
Wyoming a serious look. Hundreds have joined the FSW and dozens
of them have already relocated. That my book was/is pivotal in getting
actual movers to Wyoming is incredibly humbling to me even three
years later.

Whatever happens there will certainly be a longer and bumpier road
than in my story, but if relocation numbers really begin to swell we
can accomplish quite a lot and finally not feel outvoted and marginal
everywhere else.

Nice to meet you. I have not read any of your books yet, but will take a look at the Cheyenne Library to see if they have any. I had to get UC shipped down from Sheridan Library...had to pay a late fee because I didn't want to return it :)

So far I love living in Wyoming. Being a Military transplant from over eight years of hell in New Jersey, Wyoming is a total opposite experience. I have bought and sold more firearms since July of last year then the entire time I lived in NJ. I just applied for my CWP last week...would have been unheard of for a mere civilian in NJ.

I love the wide open spaces here, and am always looking for some place new to explore. I'm like a kid in a candy store. Here are some pictures of the areas I like to hang out in that are fairly close to Cheyenne.

Genghis Khan: Don't hold your breath waiting for Foreign Enemies. It'll be at least another year. I'm only about 15% of the way finished.

No worries, man, i write a little and i know how time consuming it can be.

Again, thank you for writing these books, you've got no idea how they changed my life.

John Ross - Unintended Consequences

This book is actually a very good read although the first 300 pages somewhat drag. The pace picks up pretty quickly after that.

Only two factual errors in the book.... The battleship moving sideways with the firing of the mains, the other one I forget.

Nevertheless, highly recommended, and I did read "Enemas, foreign and domestic", the "Black Arrow", and pretty much everything else. "Unintended Consequences" is the best of the bunch.

Warning: 1 plot spoiler following:

My favorite part was the idea that armed customers did not have to pay sales tax, and unarmed customers did. I laughed for a long time over that one.

If you want government to intervene abroad, you're a conservative.
If you want government to intervene at home, you're a liberal.
If you want government to intervene everywhere, you're a centrist.
If you want government to intervene nowhere, you're an extremist.

budney, that's a great signature!

Nice, but I'd like it better as:

If you want government to intervene abroad, you're a conservative.
If you want government to intervene at home, you're a liberal.
If you want government to intervene everywhere, you're a marxist.
If you want government to intervene nowhere, you're an libertartian.

That's true too. Today's "moderates" basically are that; they support both parties' big government wishes. And libertarians are, of course, extremist whacko nut-jobs.

A year ago I saw arguments at the supreme court. In one case I observed, the participants were the Libertarian Party and the state of Oklahoma.

Justice Antonin Scalia said "now wait - let me get this strait: The Libertarian party is asking for government intervention?"

The majority of the individuals present did not get the joke. I thought it was really very funny.

rosco22, nice wall hanging!
I've also a cartridge collection, but you probably have a few I don't.

These are some of my favorites. I apologize if not all the links are active but you should be able to locate most with the info provided.

Many of the books with the best messages are not the strongest in plot, style or character development. It seems that one can tell a great story with style and little or no message but conveying an important message makes telling a strong and entertaining story in epic style a difficult task. If I noted somewhere that the style was weak then know that the book was included because it had an important message but that most shee-people won’t read it for simple entertainment purposes.

“How to” and informational

Boston's Gun Bible (Paperback)
by Boston T. Party
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/18...535?v=glance&n=283155&_encoding=UTF8&v=glance
Hard core gun and freedom lover’s standard reference book. “This is not your father’s gun book!” Too bad.

Jungle Snafus ... and Remedies (Hardcover)
by Cresson H. Kearny
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1884067107/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Written by a guy that actually trained soldiers in the jungles and designed or fixed much of the field gear used by army.

Desert Survival Skills (Paperback)
by David Alloway
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0292704925/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Really good book on the outdoors. David Alloway worked in Big Bend for many years and is the only non-Australian to successfully cross the Great Outback Desert on foot. Much of what you read in other books has not been tested by the authors and it could get you killed. Chapter on solar stills is worth the price of the book. What little I have done or experienced (compared to David) in remote places supports the info that I read in this book.

The Secure Home (Paperback)
by Joel, M. Skousen
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1568610556/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Awesome book if you can find it. Steal it if necessary.

How to Implement a High Security Shelter in the Home (Paperback)
by Joel Skousen
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1568610548/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Hard to find book. Details construction of a safe room/house. Good for storms, home invasions and civil unrest.

Nuclear War Survival Skills: Updated and Expanded 1987 Edition (Paperback)
by Cresson H. Kearny
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/094248701X/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Not as big a concern now for many people but that may change in a few years as China develops better rockets. Just so you know, you can survive if you prepare. It is easier than you think. Ever wonder how to build your own radiation detector at home with simple materials? Read this book and find out how. The author researched much of this info for the US government and Civil Defense.

The Encyclopedia of Country Living: An Old Fashioned Recipe Book (Paperback)
by Carla Emery
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/15...535?v=glance&n=283155&_encoding=UTF8&v=glance
Good book, charming, lots of useful info.

Invisible Resistance to Tyranny : How to Lead a Secret Life of Insurgency in an Increasingly Unfree World (Paperback)
by Mack Jefferson
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1581603088/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
I liked it. Thinking of reading it a second time. There may come a day in the U.S. when this info is helpful. Title sounds more radical than the book really is; I wish they had called it something else. This book is interesting because if 90% of your neighbors read and followed this book, you would never realize it and the country would be much better off. Socialists will hate this book, a good enough reason for me to read it again.

Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse (Paperback)
by James Wesley Rawles
Read it for the ideas and concepts, not the style. This is a How To book inserted into a story. Read it twice, may do it a third time. Christian Boy Scout types take on the UN in a Second Great Depression with a dash of “how to” mixed in.

"The Next War" by Weinberger

"Every Spy a Prince" by Raviv and Melman

"Blackhawk Down" by Bowden

Fiction with a twist

Unintended Consequences (Hardcover)
by John Ross
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/18...535?v=glance&n=283155&_encoding=UTF8&v=glance
A standard gun and freedom lover’s book. Even if they change the cover Barnes and noble will NEVER carry this book on their shelves.

Enemies Foreign and Domestic (Paperback)
by Matthew Bracken
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0972831010/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Really good book. Thinking of reading it a second time.

Point of Impact (Mass Market Paperback)
by Stephen Hunter
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0553563513/ref=bxgy_cc_text_b/102-8993353-1214535?_encoding=UTF8
Great intro to a series of books that most “intrigue” readers and shooters will enjoy.

Lucifer's Hammer (Paperback)
by Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/04...535?v=glance&n=283155&_encoding=UTF8&v=glance
Best “end of the world as we know it” book that I ever read.

Pallas (Mass Market Paperback)
by L. Neil Smith
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0812509048/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Hokey cover, good story and message with great characters.

Alas, Babylon (Perennial Classics) (Paperback)
by Pat Frank
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060931396/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
I read it a million years ago and liked it.

Term Limits (Paperback)
by Vince Flynn
Fun book. More along the lines of regular fiction but skirts the edge of being really interesting. One of a series, main character becomes unbelievable in later books.

Molon Labe! -- Come and Take Them! (Paperback)
by Boston T. Party
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1888766077/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Great idea, not as polished as some traditional "regular" novels, better than “Patriots” though. Kind of like a spaghetti western but fun anyway.

Transfer : The end of the beginning (Paperback)
by Jerry Furland
Liked it. Sort of Greenspan meets Mark of the Beast.

The Mitzvah (Paperback)
by Aaron Zelman, L. Neil Smith
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0964230437/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Decent book, good story. Worth the time.

Hope (Paperback)
by Aaron Zelman; L. Neil Smith
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0964230453/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
I thought 3.5 stars at least. Critic is somewhat accurate but I liked the book for “what the country could be, or rather, how it should be’. Strong on ideas, weak on individual character development. Somewhat of a follow up to The Mitzvah but not a sequel. Can be read alone but references some characters in the Mitzvah. Read ‘em both.

The Justice Cooperative (Paperback)
by Joseph P. Martino
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1932762000/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Interesting idea, decent writing, good/fun read, I would give it 4 stars.

Great Men, we need more of these guys

Great book about a Man’s man.

A Rifleman Went to War (Hardcover)
by Herbert W. McBride
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0935856013/102-8993353-1214535?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance
Excellent book on a real World War One hero.
