Note that it was signed on Income Tax day, which is sorta amusing/ironic. Anyhow, it was discussed here at that time.

I doubt the Texas Legislature has enough time left in the session to do anything. Maybe in 2011 when they next meet--unless Gov. Perry gets the bit in his teeth. He might need a special session for the budget, later this year. He can include other matters at that time, as he did with the eminent domain legislation after Kelo.
 
The first of many/several states that will try this. The big question is, which way will it go in the SCOTUS?

Do the freelom loving states have enough folks willing to go up against the DC and Northeast crowd?

It's starting to feel like 1775....
