Has this newish retail tax reduced demand for ammo?
It would be interesting if it created a new max. ceiling on prices.

Try to find ammo for sale today and the answer to that question will be painfully obvious.

No one said YOU didn't know the tax code, but there are a lot of young folks who do not and may not know what is - and HAS BEEN required - for a long time......

FWIW Must old folks are just as clueless. Compliance with voluntary reporting was minimal at best. I once had a sales tax auditor tell me she bought as much as possible from Amazon in order to avoid paying the tax.

Sadly, many of these things are not taught in school anymore. College kids are graduating without being able to balance a check book. It has to be taught in the home. And with the current amount of credit card debt in our country, how many people really have a good handle on personal finance and economics?

What's a check book? Just buy everything with plastic and have Mommy and Daddy pay for it.

As I pointed out earlier, with which NuShootr and tallpaul seem to disagree, the spending is the problem, not taxes. If "We the People" elect to spend money, then that money must come from somewhere. No spending = no taxes. I like a S&U tax, because I can decide on my tax exposure by electing NOT to spend. Short of going to work at McDonalds, riding a bicycle and living in a linear dwelling unit, income, fuel and property taxes are harder to avoid.
