ok ive got the gun firing but i hunt out of an enclosed tower stand with a friend and i cant have the powder flash off my primers in his face, can i switch breach plugs with one of the ones in the photo??? i dont want to have to switch bolts, the small breach plugs are options? the larger breach plug is close to what mine looks like except mine has an extra cross cut that the picture dont have, and the bolt picture at the bottom is my gun, sorry to bother with so many questions but i dont have anybody aroun this area that will ansure simple questions without charging you a arm and leg for info....thanks again

I don't think that anyone can recommend another breech plug without actually trying it out for fit and function. If it's not specifically designed for your rifle it's probably not a good idea to switch breech plugs.

But I can recommend this handy item that TC sells that's called an "inline breech cover", item #7337.

It's attached by Velcro and will hopefully fit over your breech opening and scope rails, or could be easily modified to fit. Or else make a similar one yourself from materials at home. You can buy the Velcro and sew it on to some material. Load the rifle first, put the cover on and then take it off before unloading.
This cover is designed to weatherize the ignition and to protect the finish on the underside of the scope from getting powder burn. But it also contains the cap and powder backflash.
They may even sell these at some Walmart stores where I've seen them in stock. :)

slick 50 grease will work fine.

Go with one of those covers that arctic posted.

The pictured plugs above are not for the mag bolt. CVA can sell you the breech plug that allows the use of either #11 or musket nipples.

The only 209 breech plug that will fit your gun is the slotted one. There is another CVA breech plug that could be made to work but it requires some machining.
