I suspect the number sold may in fact be much higher. In GA and many other states a carry permit allows you to skip the background check. And then there are FTF transactions. Granted those guns were not new guns, but they changed hands.

By that math, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 million purchases were multiples on the same BGC.

Sounds like this was a good year for 2A awareness. Now to loudly voice our views like any other minority to get our point across.
I also purchased a couple in private sales so no record of sale. How many of us in free states did this in the past year as well. Bet lots did.

Of course, two of those were before covid and the riots - when there were still firearms and ammunition on store shelves.
