I got to take my mosin nagant to the range and I thought it shot fairly well for iron sights. The only range I can go to around here that allows rifles is 25 yards. heres how it turned out with some Bulgarian 147 gr light ball. I didnt use a rest for these shots and shot from a variety of positions kneeling, standing and in the prone. The shots from the prone or kneeling were alot better than the standing off hand ones. I have to say im pleased with the $100 rifle. its a 91/30 1943 tula. The picture of the one 5 round shot group isnt the best one i got but its the only target I didnt keep shooting at. enjoy.

Wait until you get a chance to shoot it long distance...

I have 300 yards at my range and routinely hit a 10" metal gong at 300 yards (this is with an M39) with iron sights and 50 year old milsurp ammo. Not too bad IMHO. :D

Stock up on ammo and get it while it's still cheap.

lol, yea my apartment sometimes resembles a bombed out building in stalingrad in 1942. However, im not about to start fixing up a place i rent.

I have a 91/30 that was made in 1941, and then restocked by the Finns. The Finns must have installed a taller front sight post, for it shoots right to the point of aim up to 100 yards. Horrible trigger pull, but I still love shooting it. I reload for it using Lapua brass and a Hornady 123 grain .310 jsp bullet. It opens up on critters like nobody's business!

The truck is a good match for the Barbarian's apt -- both are down to the studs. You guys have your priorities straight!
