Good Eve
I have an old Mossberg 26B that has a pretty odd front sight - to me its odd. Its also broken I think. I looks like you can switch it or something, looking for information on it if any of you know what I mean.
Thanks.
have the same sight, it's got 4 of them, it's designed for one or two at a time, haven' really looked into it, I wish it held the front blade tighter, but, seems to be pretty much in the same place every time.
I will get that treatment - looking for parts missing before I get started in trying to fix it.
Anyone know about replacing the sight with something else?
Any of you guys know where I can find a main plunger - Its missing that and the firing pin. http://www.havlinsales.com/ has the firing pin but I do not see the plunger.
Those Mossberg sights have a flat spring underneath that holds tension on the differnt posts. When you remove the sight it's common that flat spring snaps in half. It should allow one post to stand up and hold it there similar to a blade swinging out of a swiss army knife. I'd give it a good squirt of oil and see if it frees up for you. Havline will probably have sights but no good flat springs. It's very possible yours doesn't work because the spring is snapped in half. Good luck.
