Just bought a new Mossberg 930SPX, what a beast. I fired 15 slugs and 25 Walmart Federal low base No. 7s without a hiccup. It only took me a few minutes, it was 30 degrees and windy.
This is a great looking gun and it shoots great too. Dumped 8 rounds in a couple seconds, hope I get a case of ammo for Christmas..........

I've been tempted to get one as well. Just too many options and weapons out there. I'll probalby feel a lot better once I've settled on something whatever it is.

Funny, my son and I went shooting today...he chose my 930SPX and fell in love. He's only 12 and on the small side, but even slugs didn't bother him to bad. We went through several boxes of cheap, low-brass bird shot...I thought for sure we'd have a couple issues...no problems at all! Congrats and enjoy...my 930 is a beast that continues to eat everything I feed it.

I recently picked up a Mossberg 930SPX back at the beginning of October and I'm very pleased with it. I'm a big Mossberg fan (I also own a 14" Mossberg 590A1 pump) and this was my first semi-auto shotgun purchase.

I purchased it primarily for use in local 3-gun and 2-gun action/tactical shooting matches. I'd been competing with my 14" 590A1 pump against everyone else's semi-autos and doing fairly well, but figured the 930SPX will make me much more competitive. We'll see come Spring!

I have a Moss 930 24" (non ported) for 3 gun and a Moss 500 Home security. Both are very reliable. The 930 is one of my favorite guns period. For 3 gun, it is a bargain. Fast reloads, accurate with slugs, shoots all ammo. Good stuff. I prefer the safety location on Mossbergs.

If you ever want it threaded for chokes call Steve at Rose Action Sports in KY. He is fast and does great work. He goes by Guncat on AR15.com. He threaded a barrel for me.

great buy. enjoy

If you don't mind, can I ask what you paid for it? They never carry them around here but this gun is on my short list to order. Just curious and I understand if you don't want to say.

I have to say, I'm a bit jealouse...hahaha.

Hi,I don't mind saying what I paid, $643, my model has a regular stock. I hunted all over for this gun because no had one in stock, the price was about average at all the places I looked in my area. Took it out again today and put another box of low base No.7s through it.....I love this gun!

You guys are getting me thinking Mossberg again. I keep going back to the Benelli M1 then I run into these 930 posts and wonder what an extra $350 gets a person?

So I guess the cocked front sight issues are a long thing of the past?

Front sight

I read as much as I could before I bought the gun ,so when I picked it up the front sight was the first thing I looked at, it was o.k. I put fifty mixed rounds through it before I cleaned it for the first time, it ate everything no matter how I fed it or fired it.

I don't know about the front sight issues, but all of the 930 threads have me considering one as well...
