I finally had a chance to take my new 243 Patriot synthetic stock to the range today. I had mounted a Leopold VX-2 3-9 on a set of low rings. Wow it is a great combination. After site in at 25 yds it is a 3/4" rifle @ 100yds with Hornady 95gr. Superperformance ammo. BTW the VX-2 is a perfect match for this rifle too. The magazine worked like champ, it is a pleasure to load and rounds load into the chamber from the mag without a hitch.

I am pleased with the value for the money, the Patriot rifle exceeded my expectations.

Congrats on your new rifle. Hope you enjoy it.

I've got a Mossberg MVP Patrol in 5.56 that I like so far. Haven't had it long though.

I had the same performance with the 308. I ordered one with a synthetic stock and stuck a 3X9 Legend Ultra on it. It shot 1"-1 1/4" groups right out of the box with factory 165gr. I have some 150gr Speers loaded for the next trip. I was pretty impressed. The trigger is a little gritty and has a bit of creep but for a cheap rifle, it looks like a winner. My next test will be a walnut stocked 25-06 as soon a one of my distributors get some in.
