definitely whatever looks like it has the most ability to do what guns are intended for, so ones that look really military.

I take issue with that.

I submit that merely owning a firearm, or even a picture of a firearm is sufficient to make the antis go nuts! We could sell all but 1 single, single-shot firearm, muzzle-load, and self-restrain ourselves to keeping no more than 8 ozs of powder, and 10 bullets and 10 primers at any one time, and the antis would still say, why do you need it?

I have never bought a firearm for ticking off anyone. I buy them because I have the Constitutional right to do so. But, given that I also have free speech and free expression, it should not shock the antis that I take whatever position I should choose to regarding purchasing a firearm. I neither find this thread tasteless, poor character, or in any other way shape or form inappropriate. I think it is entertaining and light-hearted. That is exactly how my post was written. The very fact that I CAN CCW that pistol but choose not to, shows self-restraint on my part. Rest assured, me keeping quiet about our firearms would not win the hearts and minds of antis.

They are out of touch with the majority of Americans, and basically nuts.

Of the guns I own, three in particular would give cause for the anti crowd to wet themselves.

My M4gery, my Romanian AK and the my most sinister looking weapon.. My FAL STG 58 Carbine.

All three have standard features that are sure to cause bodilly fluid purge among the gun haters (Hi cap detatch mags, Bayo Lugs, etc.)....

But the FAL just says "Bad A$$ destructive device" all over it.
