I don't hate Glocks, but they're starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth for the same reason I now detest anything NASCAR... it's the fans.

Hey, whats wrong with nascar fans? Been to many races and never had a problem and I dont like Jr., gordon, johnson, or any of the popular drivers. Now football, Ive had nothing but problems with eagles fans!!!

Once upon a time when I worked in an office, people became absurdly hostile at the slightest hint of a negative comment about "their" driver. One coworker threatened to file a false complaint against me to the LR person. I "escorted" him outside to see if that's what he really wanted to do. Maybe it's not so bad in other places, but It turned me totally off to that sports genre.

I felt the same when I first got into firearms... Hated Glock because everyone hyped them up so much. Then I saw that for AR's. And then 870's. And then AK's. And then Remin-.... you get the message.

Point is, fanboys will be fanboys. Got a Glock today (my first one), and I'm quite happy with it. I am glad I didn't let a good opportunity for a gun slip because I can't stand its fans.

Now you really wanna know who's fans I hate? Duke and Carolina!

I had a AMT Govt. model that I could never get to work right. Sold it in favor of a Colt. Had a Taurus Millennium that pissed me right off. Sold it in favor of a Glock 26. Bought another Taurus, a PT-22, and it's been perfect and a lot of fun. Bought a H&K USPC and frankly can't figure out what is so great about these. Bought a Kimber UCDP for EDC and have been nothing but impressed for over 8 years. Also own 2 KelTecs, a P32 that serves BUG duty, and a PLR-16 that I bought just to piss off the government boneheads that wanted it banned from the very start.

For me it would be my Glocks and my pf9. People either love them or love to hate them.
As for my wifes collection it would be the charter arms Pink Lady. #1 Its a CA. #2 Its a Pink non plus p rated .38 special.

Glock – Gotta be number one. People seem to love them or hate them. My G36 shoots pretty well and is
about as reliable as a rock. But a fine shooter it is not. Heaven help the one who mentions the sproingy
trigger. You are in for it now buddy.

Piston ARs – Not as many fans as Glock but boy are they passionate. If you mention you prefer DI guns
you need to settle in for the lecture about how hard to clean they are and how hot they get. I’m not sure
what the big deal is.

S&W revolvers with locks – As I remember my J frame has a lock on it. It has never been locked. It just
sort of sits there. Again, I don’t see the big deal.

H&K might fall into that category, although less than Glock. I have a USP I love, and I carry a Glock at work. Shoot both decently. Used to carry H&K P2000 and just never could shoot the thing as well as I would have liked.
As far as Hi-point...I would buy one, but they are just the ugliest handgun ever made.

I don't care what people say! I love my 770...with a decent scope my groupings are 3" at 200 yards. For a $250 rifle.....not bad! Say what you will about quality but most people that talk bad about the 770 have never shot or even held one.
A friend of mine that works at a gun store (I work at one too, not the same one though) claims that 80% of the rifles returned with issues are Remington 770's. I've handled them and the Savage Axis, and I'd choose the Axis over the 770 any day.

You guys have more flavors then I do I have fired a lot of weapons just haven't owned to many of them...im not a big fan of flocks, just my personal opinion I don't like the ergonomics..that's the big thing and I don't like the walther p22 so far thatswhat I have.

I have 2 ... Over the last 25 years or so, I've bought these two types of guns several times because I loved them and sold them because I hate them.

1. UZI ...
Pro's: Accurate, Reliable and Iconic
Con's: Clunky; Heavy

2. Desert Eagle .38/44mag/.50AE
Same deal ...
Pro's: Accurate, Reliable and Iconic
Con's: Clunky; Heavy

The sad thing is, its a cycle I can't seem to break ... and I expect I'll get the itch again some day and buy both of them again.

Therein my moniker... a tribute to two quality programs, with allegiance neither! :)
