Most pro gun movie stars

Whoopie Goldberg. Not according to me but according to Whoop herself.

Not movie stars, but Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith both are AVID shooters...Nuge talks about it in his book.

Which brings me to this...if you haven't read "God, Guns, and Rock 'n' Roll" by Ted Nugent, do yourself a favor and check it out.

His (paraphrased) answer: 'well I love to take my son shooting, I don't get to do that in England.' *shock and gasp*
What guns, though? He probably meant normal cartridge pistols and full-bore centerfire rifles.I'm sure Hugh Laurie did shoot some pistols and full-bore semi-auto rifle shooting in tthe UK,before 1989 and October 1997.
Other pro-gun movie stars include:
Micheal Gambon
Jason Statham
Lawrence Oliver
Henry Fonda
Bridget Fonda
Jane Fonda(Well so I've heard....)
Clive Owen

To some extent Timothy Dalton was too.He did say that he enjoyed firing guns on the set of 'The Living Daylights' and 'License to Kill'.
Sylvester Stallone is extremely anti-guns owned by us worker peasants. He owns firearms but wants our firearms to be confiscated.

He was on a British teevee show in which he stated that the American police should invade every home in the U.S. and confiscate our guns. He's exactly the same as Spielberg... except Spielberg has more millions of $$$ than Stallone.

Hypocrites one and all.
By the way,he apparently helped suppot our 1988 Firearms Amendment Act,because he was told that Micheal Ryan killed 18 people with three guns and idolised him, which drove him to dislike 'assault weapons' even more.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are both pro-gun, just read about them in this month's America's First Freedom; they bought some guns for home defense since they just had a kid. Jolie also said that she thinks it's fine to have guns for HD. Pretty sure they're on our side.

By the way, for those who say that what celebrities think doesn't matter, well, it does. Three words: Oprah's book club.

Hugh Laurie, the british star of House is pro gun. I don't have the clip but there's a video posted from a recent interview on the tonight show where Leno asks him about some of his recreational activities in the US.
His (paraphrased) answer: 'well I love to take my son shooting, I don't get to do that in England.' *shock and gasp*

you can find the youtube video and see it for yourself. It doesn't read as pro-gun to me. He basically is saying 'this behavior is correctly illegal in most places, but because it is legal here, and I am here, I am going to take the opportunity to do it while I can'

Same with Conan, he went out there as it was something wild and crazy to do, not because he believes it should be legal.

now, Conan may well be pro gun, but just because he went shooting with a famous person for a TV show doesn't make him pro gun

Rappers?

Yeah - wasn't Eminem popped a couple of times for illegal carry or something? I mean he was just exercising his 2A rights . And Sean Combs beating (unbelievably) some gun rap in NY.

Can't forget G-Unit. Disregarding the music, 50 Cent gave some sort of an interview regarding gun use extolling the virtues of Glocks and revolvers("guys have gotton killed worrying about some guns safeties").

Some rappers are fakes or wannbes, but others probably have ...ahem...ALOT more real world experience than most members of this board, aside from veterans or cops.

Charlie Callas, as I recall, was a distinguished pistol shot.

Old Dog said it in post #73. If we have to search out tidbits on the internet to find out if some celeb is pro gun then they are really no help to the 2 amendment. For the celebs to have any pro gun affect they have to put their beliefs out in public. We all know where Rosie stands, We need the so called elite to be as vocal about their beliefs in support of the 2nd amendment and RBKA as Rosie and her ilk are vocal against it. Just because some celeb points a gun downrange and pulls the trigger does not make them pro gun. They are no use to us unless they use their position to promote the RBKA argument. Ms.Jolie might in fact be very pro gun but she does not give it the same weight as she gives other causes she endorses. Unless they are willing to put their name on the line for pro RBKA beliefs the way so many are wiling to trash anything American or conservative then they should be considered at best neutral and not given any special consideration.

***?

rapper Jay-Z (and god knows how many others)

Uhh what the hell is that supposed to mean? What rappers shouldn't be allowed to own firearms because there all criminals or something? If knew anything about Jay Z ; which obvioulsy you dont. You'd know he's a pretty wholesome guy, yea he raps about thug stuff, but guess what. Its called a stage persona, what you think all these celebs and artists are exactually like their roles on TV, or their stage personas?

Your probably one of those guys that give minorities funny looks when they go to purchase a gun. Yea your helping the 2nd Amendment with your ignorance.

Alls I know about Jay Z is that he is a good Businessman, and he has a pretty wife or girlfriend.

Who is the most vocal pro gun supporter now that Mr. Heston has passed on?

Uma Thurman

Actually, there was a thread here a little while ago where someone brought up that she was pro-gun, and a couple more people came forth with stories of her speaking of the virtues of gun control.

Really surprised no-one mentioned Charlton Heston. I think if as many of the "pro-gun celebs" did at least a fraction of for the RKBA that he has, and that the anti-gun celebs seem to do against it, we would be much better off.

I heard that Gene Simmons enjoys skeet shooting with his daughter and went so far to buy her a very expensive shotgun and a better one for himself. Also the wahlbergs and britney spears owns but shes a reason to be anti pardon me for the last bit.

Quentin Tarantino and Johnny Depp were both mentioned. Both of those would really surprise me. Can anybody post a link to a supporting quote or something?

Patrick Swayze was also mentioned. I believe I've heard him quoted as saying that he was undecided regarding his feelings about the 2nd Amendment, or something to that effect. So, although he's not one of the "bad guys," he doesn't appear to be one of the "good guys," either. Of course, I may be mistaken.

Jill Wagner...you know her...the Mercury Girl..."Put Mercury on your List"!!! Not a start but, again, who can forget those commercials. She grew up in NC shooting with grandpa and still shoots.

Most of the pro-gun actors I know have already been mentioned. On the flip side of the coin, I was watching the special features on my new Aliens DVD last night and was treated to five minutes of Sigourney Weaver ranting about how sad it made her to be in such a "martial" movie and how in real-life she gives lots of money to anti-gun groups. It took a fair bit of effort not to throw the remote through the screen.

Tucker Smallwood. He's been in several SciFi type shows.

Here's his blog on the subject: http://tuckersmallwood.com/blog/?p=14

Small excerpt:

"Many will choose not to bear arms…or even own them. That is their right. Those of us who want a say in our own well-being deserve an equal hearing. We all have the fundamental right to self-defense."

I remember a few years back David Spade's "assistant" or whatever freaked out and tried to attack him at his house. Spade said his shotgun is what kept him from getting assaulted. I don't know if that makes him pro-gun or just another celebrity who believes some animals or more equal than others. Anyone know more about it?
