Define "movie star." Are we going to use the term to mean any actors who have appeared in movies or are we going to use it to mean actors whose name is associated with big box office returns? There are a great many of the former and a comparative few of the latter.
There're lots of movie actors who like guns. Movie stars? Not too many.
In his own quiet way, James Earl Jones. More pro-RKBA than 'pro gun'.
Doesn't wave his beliefs around like many do, but answers questions put to him straight in a like fashion.
It makes a difference. There used to be a cable show called "Shooting with the Stars" or something like that. The thing was, virtually none of the performers who appeared on it could have been legitimately described as movie stars...or even TV stars.
In shooting, we had one genuine movie star (albeit from a past era) in Mr. Heston. We still have Tom Selleck, who was a genuine TV star and who narrowly missed transitioning into being a movie star.
Sure we can name all kinds of entertainers who like guns...but how many of them are stars?
I can honestly say that, untill this thread, I had no idea who Eva Longoria was. Yeah, I've heard the name, mostly on spike lately, but I never knew who she was. So I go over to imdb.com, type her name in, and the only thing I've seen with her in it was the Sentinel, and I still had to look at a pic to find out who she was.
